Editorial standards

Our one rule is “measured, not reviewed.” Everything below is what that means in practice, and it applies to every page on this site and every vertical in the network.

Fact and interpretation are kept separate

Measured data — positions, dates, cycles, definitions — is presented as fact, with a source. Symbolic or traditional meaning, such as what a planet “signifies” in astrology, is clearly labelled as a cultural tradition and never stated as if it were established science. Where we describe astrology, we describe what the tradition says, not what is true of you.

No predictions, no rankings, no recommendations

We do not forecast events, publish horoscopes, rank items into top-tens, or recommend one option over another. The internet has plenty of opinion; we publish the structured facts you would need to form your own.

No paid placement

We do not accept payment for inclusion, ranking, or feature placement. The verticals are supported by contextual advertising (such as Google AdSense) where applicable, which is kept clearly distinct from the content and never determines what we publish.

Corrections

Facts carry a verification date so their currency is visible. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it and update the date. Computed figures are reproducible from the methods described on our methodology page, so they can be independently checked.

Not advice

Nothing on otldr is professional advice — astronomical, astrological, medical, financial, or otherwise. It is reference information, published for general interest.
